What makes AmazingAir work and what does it do?
AmazingAir is a powerful, portable purifier designed to clean the air in your space with a fully sealed three-stage filtration system. It removes airborne particles as tiny as 0.003 microns for a healthier environment.
The first stage is a pre-filter that traps hair and larger dust. Next, the Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filter neutralises odours, ozone, and harmful volatile compounds such as formaldehyde. Finally, the exclusive UltraHEPA filter captures every particle down to 0.003 microns, making it 100 times more efficient than a regular HEPA filter.
Equipped with an air-quality sensor, the unit automatically adjusts its quiet Whisper Jet fan through Auto mode. You’ll also get timely filter-change reminders, while the optional ionizer adds a fresh feel to the air without producing significant ozone. The result is continuous, low-effort protection around the clock.
Which pollutants does AmazingAir eliminate?
AmazingAir is built to handle both particle pollution and harmful gases.
Its Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filter, which has been independently tested, absorbs everyday odours, traffic-related fumes, ozone, and a wide range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including formaldehyde.
The UltraHEPA filter, also independently verified, captures every ultra-fine particle down to 0.003 microns. This includes dust, pollen, pet dander, mould spores, smoke, bacteria, and even airborne viruses such as SARS-CoV-2.
Together, within a fully sealed design, these filters eliminate nearly all common indoor pollutants, giving you consistently cleaner air.
For further details, you can explore our research page.
How is AmazingAir different from other air purifiers?
AmazingAir sets itself apart by using two independently verified filters: the UltraHEPA filter, which captures every particle down to 0.003 microns (100 times smaller than the 0.3-micron benchmark for standard HEPA), and the dual-purpose Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filter, which absorbs ozone, household odours, and harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as benzene and formaldehyde. These filters sit within a fully sealed casing that prevents leakage, while an integrated particle sensor monitors air quality and adjusts the Whisper Jet fan speed automatically to deliver clean air with quiet performance.
Independent tests by MRIGlobal confirmed that AmazingAir removes 99.97% of airborne SARS-CoV-2. This means you are protected against both particles and gases in a compact unit that is simple to maintain and provides filter-change reminders when needed.
Although we cannot comment on the specifications or effectiveness of other brands, we can confidently say that AmazingAir has been independently tested at every stage to ensure reliable results.
What do I receive with the AmazingAir complete system?
AmazingAir arrives fully assembled and ready for use, complete with one of each filter and all the components required to begin cleaning the air in your home straight away. When the time comes to change the filters, you can easily purchase discounted replacement packs for one or two years through our webshop.
Can AmazingAir remove mould from the air?
Yes, AmazingAir is designed to capture mould spores present in the air. However, the presence of spores often points to an active mould problem within the home. It is essential to locate and address the underlying cause of the contamination. In many cases, professional remediation may be required to completely eliminate mould at its source.
Can AmazingAir cool the air?
AmazingAir is not designed to provide cooling. Adding this feature would reduce its overall capacity and limit the purifier’s ability to perform at its highest efficiency.
What does the Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filter eliminate from the air?
The Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filter targets harmful ozone, unwanted gases, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as formaldehyde. It uses a dual-action design that combines media to absorb odours and gases with a specialised layer that neutralises certain VOCs like formaldehyde.
What is the UltraHEPA filter?
The UltraHEPA filter in AmazingAir is a specially designed multi-layer system built to H13 standards. It features three bonded layers that work together to capture airborne particles with exceptional accuracy. Thanks to this design, the filter removes 100% of particles as tiny as 0.003 microns, which are far smaller than those caught by standard HEPA filters. This advanced level of filtration is what delivers the powerful air-cleaning performance of AmazingAir.
How does the UltraHEPA filter compare to a standard HEPA filter?
HEPA, short for High Efficiency Particulate Air, describes filters that are built to trap particles down to 0.3 microns. The UltraHEPA filter surpasses this benchmark by capturing particles as tiny as 0.003 microns, making it 100 times more accurate. This advanced level of performance is usually reserved for hospital isolation rooms to guard against airborne pathogens, giving a far greater degree of protection than a standard HEPA filter.
Can AmazingAir capture ultra-fine particles in the air?
Yes. AmazingAir is designed to be highly effective against ultrafine particles. These particles, often called PM₂.₅, are smaller than 2.5 microns in diameter, with most actually measuring below 0.1 microns.
They are produced by vehicle exhaust, industrial operations, refineries, and even indoor sources such as cooking. Because of their microscopic size, they can reach deep into the lungs and move into the bloodstream, contributing to serious health conditions including asthma, heart attacks, strokes, and cancer.
The UltraHEPA filter used in AmazingAir has been independently tested and proven to trap 100% of airborne particles as tiny as 0.003 microns. This makes it an effective choice for safeguarding your health against the smallest and most dangerous pollutants.
How is AmazingAir’s ioniser different from others?
AmazingAir includes an ioniser that can be switched on or off whenever you choose, giving you complete control over your indoor air. Once activated, it releases negative ions that attach to positively charged particles such as dust, smoke, bacteria, allergens, and other pollutants. These particles then cluster together, making them heavy enough to be caught by the filter or to drop out of the air. This helps improve the capture of ultrafine particles, aerosols, and even unwanted odours.
Unlike some ionisers that create unsafe amounts of ozone, AmazingAir produces only 0.001 ppm when the ioniser is in use. This is far below the recommended safety guideline of 0.050 ppm and well under typical outdoor background levels.
What room size can AmazingAir handle?
Both models use the same advanced filtration system and operate in the same way, but they differ in the size of space they are built to cover.
The AmazingAir 3500 is suited for large rooms and can clean the air in a 225 m² space once every hour. In smaller areas it provides more frequent purification, offering four complete air changes per hour in a 58.5 m² room, based on a standard ceiling height of 2.65 metres.
The smaller AmazingAir 2000 is best for medium-sized rooms. It can purify the air in a 113 m² space once per hour and delivers four air changes per hour in a 28 m² room, also measured with a ceiling height of 2.65 metres.
How quickly does AmazingAir clean the air?
The speed depends on the size of the room, and this is measured in ACH, or Air Changes per Hour.
With a standard ceiling height of 2.65 metres, the AmazingAir 2000 delivers four air changes per hour in rooms up to 28 m², which means it refreshes the air every 15 minutes. In spaces up to 57 m², it achieves two air changes per hour.
The larger AmazingAir 3500 provides four air changes per hour in rooms up to 59 m² and two air changes per hour in areas up to 117 m².
Specialists usually recommend a minimum of four ACH to effectively remove airborne pollutants, and both AmazingAir models reach this benchmark within their designed room sizes.
How much electricity does AmazingAir use?
AmazingAir uses 11 watts on its lowest setting and up to 95 watts on the highest. Although electricity prices differ across the UK, running AmazingAir continuously in Auto mode costs around £30 to £43 per year.
What is the weight of the AmazingAir units?
The AmazingAir 2000 weighs 4.5 kg, while the AmazingAir 3500 comes in at 8.2 kg.
Both versions include recessed handles, allowing you to carry them easily from one room to another.
What are the sizes of the AmazingAir units?
The AmazingAir 2000 measures 35 cm wide, 17 cm deep, and 47 cm high. The larger AmazingAir 3500 measures 40 cm wide, 21 cm deep, and 58 cm high.
Is AmazingAir easy to move?
Yes, AmazingAir is designed to be portable. The 2000 model weighs 4.5 kg and the 3500 model weighs 8.2 kg. Both include recessed handles, so you can unplug, lift, and place the unit wherever you need it without tools or additional setup.
Is AmazingAir noisy when running?
No, AmazingAir has been built for quiet operation. It uses Professional Whisper Jet fans that lower sound levels by around 30% compared with many standard purifiers. The AmazingAir 2000 produces between 40 dB and 55 dB, while the larger AmazingAir 3500 ranges from 39 dB to 59 dB. Sensitivity to noise can differ from person to person, but most users report that both models are discreet enough for daily use.
Can AmazingAir be used with windows or doors open?
For the best results, AmazingAir should be operated in a closed space. If doors or windows are left open, unfiltered air can flow in and purified air can escape, which lowers both efficiency and effectiveness. To maintain good air quality and save energy, it is advisable to keep the room closed while the purifier is on.
For proper airflow and reliable sensor performance, avoid placing AmazingAir directly in front of a fan, next to an open window, or pressed against a wall. Leave at least 30 cm of clearance around the unit, especially at the back, so air can move freely into the sensor and through each stage of filtration.
Why does AmazingAir have a chemical smell at first?
When first switched on, AmazingAir may produce a faint chemical scent. This is similar to a “new car smell” and comes from the materials used in the filters. It is normal and usually disappears after a short period of regular operation. While many users may not detect it, those who are more sensitive might notice it more. If the smell continues, place the purifier in a well-ventilated room and run it for a few days, which should clear the odour.

Filter Replacements
How frequently do the filters need changing?
The lifespan of the filters depends on factors such as indoor air quality and the number of hours the purifier is used each day. In a typical household running the unit continuously, the Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filter generally lasts about 6 months, while the UltraHEPA filter lasts around 12 months.
If AmazingAir is used for 12 hours daily, the Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filter can last up to 1 year, and the UltraHEPA filter up to 2 years, provided the air quality is average. In homes with heavier dust or pollution levels, the filters may require replacement sooner.
Where can I buy replacement filters?
You can order replacement filters straight from our webshop. Options include individual pre-filters, Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filters, and UltraHEPA filters, along with value one-year and two-year combo packs available for both AmazingAir 2000 and 3500 units.
How will I know when a filter needs replacing?
AmazingAir is equipped with an automatic sensor that alerts you when the two primary filters need to be changed. The unit also contains a pre-filter that can be removed and cleaned with a vacuum. With regular care and under normal use, this pre-filter usually does not require replacement.
How regularly should I clean the pre-filter?
For the best performance, the pre-filter should be cleaned about once a month while keeping AmazingAir in Auto mode. This filter is thin, black, and flexible, attached to the Carbon/VOC filter with Velcro, so at first glance they appear as one. The pre-filter can be removed from the Carbon filter when cleaning.
We suggest giving the pre-filter a quick vacuum each month. Its role is to trap larger particles such as hair and dust, which would otherwise block the carbon filter and reduce its lifespan.
The ‘change filter’ light stays on after I’ve replaced the filter, what should I do?
Once the new filter has been fitted, press and hold the AUTO and DIM buttons together for three seconds. The ‘change filter’ light will flash three times before switching off, confirming that the filter reset is complete.
Troubleshooting & Support
What should I do if AmazingAir is not functioning correctly?
Start by checking that AmazingAir is properly plugged in, switched on, and that all filters are correctly fitted. Make sure the air inlets and sensor are clear of any blockages, then try unplugging the unit for 30 seconds before reconnecting it. If the problem continues, refer to the troubleshooting section of the user guide or reach out to our Customer Service team with your model and order number for assistance.
Why does AmazingAir adjust its fan speed automatically?
With Auto Mode turned on, AmazingAir uses its built-in sensor to monitor the quality of your air in real time. When higher levels of pollutants are detected, the fan speed increases to clean the air more quickly, then lowers again once the air has returned to normal levels.
The filter light on my AmazingAir is always blue. Does this mean it has stopped filtering?
No, AmazingAir continues to filter the air at all times, even when the light shows blue. The blue light simply signals that the current fan speed is enough for the level of pollutants detected. In Auto mode, the sensor will raise the fan speed and the light will change only if it registers a noticeable increase in contaminants, such as smoke from cooking. A steady blue light means the purifier is effectively managing the air quality in the room. It does not mean that the air is already “perfect” or that filtration has stopped. If particles suddenly increase, the fan will adjust to handle the higher pollution level.
Usage & Best Practises
How do I install and set up my AmazingAir system?
- Begin by reading the user manual carefully, then insert the UltraHEPA and Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filters as shown in the guide. Important: remove the plastic wrapping from the filters before fitting them.
- Place AmazingAir on a level surface with at least 30 cm of space on all sides, ensuring it is kept clear of curtains or other blockages.
- Avoid pointing fans or air conditioning vents directly at the unit so airflow moves smoothly through the filters.
- For the most effective results, position the purifier close to the main source of pollutants, such as in the room where you spend most of your time, or near the hob when cooking, so contaminants are captured immediately.
The air-quality sensor is constantly orange or red. What should I do?
Dust can sometimes build up inside the air-quality sensor, causing the light to stay fixed on one colour. If the sensor shows red or orange continuously, follow these steps to clean it:
- Turn off the purifier and unplug it.
- Open the sensor panel cover on the side of the unit.
- Use a vacuum gently to clear any dust or debris from the sensing chamber.
- Close the panel, reconnect the power, and switch the purifier back on.
Cleaning the sensor in this way helps restore accurate readings and allows AmazingAir to keep running at peak performance.
What room size is AmazingAir 2000 suitable for?
AmazingAir 2000 refreshes the air four times an hour in spaces up to 28 m², twice an hour in rooms up to 56.5 m², and once an hour in areas as large as 113 m², based on a standard ceiling height of 2.65 m.
What room size will AmazingAir 3500 cover?
AmazingAir 3500 provides four air changes per hour in rooms up to 56 m², two air changes per hour in spaces up to 112 m², and one air change per hour in areas as large as 225 m², based on a typical ceiling height of 2.65 m.

Health & Safety
What does CADR mean?
CADR refers to Clean Air Delivery Rate. It is a standard measurement used to show how effectively an air purifier removes pollutants such as smoke, dust, and pollen. The rating indicates how many cubic feet of air per minute the purifier can clear of smoke particles (0.09–1 micron), dust particles (0.5–3 microns), and pollen particles (5–11 microns). A higher CADR value means the purifier can clean the air in your room more quickly and efficiently.
What is the CADR of AmazingAir purifiers?
Both AmazingAir models have been independently tested for CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) by Intertek laboratories. The full reports can be found on our Research page.
Looking at the toughest and most harmful pollutant, smoke particles, the results are as follows:
AmazingAir 2000 has a smoke CADR of 162.
AmazingAir 3500 has a smoke CADR of 336.
To give perspective, a CADR of 336 means the 3500 removes smoke particles at a rate equal to adding 336 cubic feet (around 9.5 m³) of clean air into the room every minute.
What are VOCs?
VOCs, or volatile organic compounds, are chemicals that are released into the air from everyday products and materials. Common examples include benzene, formaldehyde, ethylene glycol, methylene chloride, toluene, xylene, tetrachloroethylene, and 1,3-butadiene. These compounds can lead to both short-term and long-term health issues such as headaches and respiratory irritation, and they often build up indoors at concentrations up to ten times higher than those found outside.
Does AmazingAir filter out allergens?
Yes, AmazingAir is very effective at removing allergens from indoor air. Its multi-stage filtration system captures common triggers such as pollen, dust mites, mould spores, and pet dander. The UltraHEPA filter removes 100% of particles as small as 0.003 microns, while the Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filter absorbs odours and gases that can contribute to allergy symptoms.
What does an air ioniser do?
An air ioniser works by releasing negative ions into the air. These ions attach to positively charged particles such as dust, smoke, microbes, allergens, aerosols, and odours. Once bonded, the particles cluster together and become heavier, causing them to settle, cling to nearby surfaces, or be more easily trapped by the purifier’s filters. This process helps reduce airborne pollutants in the room and improves the capture of ultrafine particles and unwanted smells.
Does AmazingAir offer protection against coronavirus?
Yes. Independent laboratory testing has shown that AmazingAir captures airborne bacteria and viruses, including coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19). In a controlled test chamber of 84 m² with a ceiling height of 2.65 m, AmazingAir removed 99.97% of coronavirus particles from the air while circulating the air three times per hour.
Using AmazingAir in your home or workplace can significantly reduce airborne coronavirus levels, helping to create a cleaner and safer environment. However, it is still possible to contract the virus, and we do not claim that AmazingAir prevents infection.
Does the sealed design stop contaminants from leaking back into the room?
Yes. The fully sealed construction of AmazingAir ensures that all air passes through the filters, preventing unfiltered air from escaping and reintroducing pollutants into the room.
